• Is xRC really free?

  There is a free ad-supported version of xRC, if the ads annoy you can buy an ad-free version of xRC.

• Does it work with a (PS2/360/PC/etc.) gamepad?

  I have only tested xRC extensibly with an original XBox controller, however, xRC uses DirectX to retrieve gamepad input, so I'm fairly confident that a good variety of gamepads are supported.
